We thought we had a lead on a way to kill the Devil. There's a gun in my universe which was designed to kill supernatural creatures permanently, but as it happens, it would seem he is one of the very few things the Colt cannot kill. ... There were casualties.

Lucifer killed all the women and children in the town in order to summon Death and bind him to his will. In addition, we... also lost two of our number.

Unfortunately, yes. We had hoped to prevent him from that, but he anticipated our arrival.

He managed to capture me, for a time. Long enough that I was prevented from coming to the aid of the others until after he had raised Death. I only arrived in time to take the boys away from there before anything else could happen.

It's troubling. I don't think any of us expected this setback.
